Engagement: A sale begins when a prospect is engaged by your presence - how you make your brand, product or service known.

Favor: After gaining attention, establish trust and likeability through how you present yourself, your brand, product, or service.

Value: Your presentation must address buyer considerations, ensuring they see clear value in choosing you over your competition.

Benefit: The most effective motivator of sales is linking to benefit (which is separate from value), which leads to confirming the sale.

Cross Through
You've decided how you'll engage prospects with your presence, present to earn their favor, demonstrate value, and confirm sales by linking to benefit. But to succeed, you must identify and support each step—the Cross-Through points—that link your sales actions to your targeted results (building buyer interest).

These Cross-Through points—awareness (to engage), alignment (to gain favor), resolution of considerations (to demonstrate value), and decision (to establish benefit)—are the key "drivers" that connect your actions to outcomes, enabling you to build genuine interest and create demand for what you sell.

​As a business owner, you’ll need to determine your specific Cross-Through points based on how you have presence, execute presentation, and confirm your sales. These points—and how you know that you've gained buyer interest at each stage—will vary depending on your type of business.
